A catch-all email mailbox is one that gathers all the email messages sent to inactive addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone misspells it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other party has an obsolete address or has made a spelling mistake. The drawback of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of spam, but this problem can be fixed by using anti-spam filtering software. It is also crucial to bear in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot forward incoming emails to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You’ll be able to create a catch-all email mailbox without effort in case you have a hosting account with our company. The Email Manager tool in our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet remarkably intuitive, and it will enable you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with just a few mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have created will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one of them you’ll find a tiny "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking on it again will deactivate it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you already have a different one with this feature enabled or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be enabled without any effort if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will find a tiny button conveniently situated directly next to each one of them. With only one mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable this option using the context menu that will come into sight. In case any of the conditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will let you know, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
